I’ve made it no secret that Andrew Robert and DarkLit Press have been a joy to work with on getting Noose out in the world. This publisher exudes enthusiasm for the work and bends over backward to get your book into the hands of readers. In other words, they’re the kind of publisher you want to sign a two book deal with.

Anyone who has read Noose was treated to a bonus short story called “Come and Take My Hand”. I enjoyed taking characters from the novella and finding out more about them so much that I’ve tried it out in a few more stories, and surprise, surprise, I’m having a blast.
Last Train to Buzzard’s Edge is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2024. It will collect several stories that take place in the titular town as well as a group of all new tales I’ll be writing in the next year. These stories visit familiar characters and introduce new ones, touching on a variety of sub genres in the horror field. As with “Come and Take Amy Hand”, I’m trying to craft them so that you can dive into the Buzzard’s Edge mythos at any point without feeling over your head.
In Fall 2024, I’ll be releasing a sequel to Noose that follows the next adventure for Rory Daggett and Alice. This book is still in the very early planning stages, but expect more fast-paced action with supernatural elements. I’m also hoping to write it in a way that it builds off Noose but readers new to the series can start here.
A huge thank you to everyone who has picked up Noose, read it and reviewed it. Without the excitement readers have shown, I wouldn’t have the opportunity to dig my spurs back in and head west again.
