Slattery Falls Cover Reveal!

I am so pleased to be partnering with Crossroad Press/Macabre Ink to release a revised version of Slattery Falls, the first book in the Slattery Falls trilogy.

I’ve signed a contract with Crossroad not only to re-release the first book, but for the other two books as well. All three will be available in paperback, e-book, and audio book.

In addition, I worked with Donnie Goodman of Atonic Vision on a new cover for the first book that truly captured the spirit of the story. I’m thrilled to share the new design with you now.

Stunning, right? I couldn’t be happier with it.

The revised manuscript for Slattery Falls is formatted as we speak and will be available in e-book soon, followed by paperback, and eventually audio book.

I’m tentatively planning book two, Decimated Dreams, for a late 2022/early 2023 release, with the untitled third book to follow about six months later.

A collective thank you to all the incredible people who have helped me and this book to land on our feet.

Slattery Falls Synopsis/praise:

Travis, Elsie, and Josh, college kids with a ghost-hunting habit, scour New England for the most interesting haunted locales. Their journey eventually leads them to Slattery Falls, a small Massachusetts town living in the shadow of the Weeks House. The former home of the town’s most sinister and feared resident sits empty. At least that’s what the citizens say. It’s all in good fun. But after navigating the strange home, they find the locals couldn’t be more wrong. And now the roles are reversed. The hunters have become the hunted. Something evil refuses to release its grip, forcing the trio into one last adventure.

“These are earnest investigators you can’t help rooting for as they explore sordid pasts and the dire hauntings they leave behind. Enticing with equal parts intrigue and chills, Slattery Falls hits that ghost story sweet spot between charming you one moment and then creeping under your skin the next.”

— Hailey Piper, Bram Stoker Award-nominated author of Queen of Teeth

“I devoured Slattery Falls in one sitting. Fun, scary, and smart, it’s a whopper of a debut and a hell of a creepy yarn. Brennan LaFaro is a writer to watch.”

— Jonathan Janz, Author of The Siren and the Specter and Children of the Dark

Slattery Falls brings a fresh and exciting resonance to the classic haunted house tale. The cry in the night, the word on the wall, the horrors underneath…all become palatable and personal under LaFaro’s masterful execution. A chilling story to be savored by lamplight in the thick, black hours of night, by an author of tremendous talent and heart.”

— Ronald Kelly, author of Fear and Undertaker’s Moon

“Brennan LaFaro’s Slattery Falls is a fast-paced tale of friendship and ghosts, love and curses. I adored the relationship between Travis, Elsie, and Josh, and the grim mystery that leads them to the titular town kept me turning pages long after midnight.”

— Todd Keisling, Bram Stoker Award-nominated author of Devil’s Creek

“Brennan LaFaro strides onto the scene, his voice already firmly established in this compulsively readable debut. Slattery Falls is part coming of age, part love story, and all heart – the kind of ghost story that keeps me in love with the sub genre.”

— Laurel Hightower, author of Crossroads and Whispers in the Dark

Slattery Falls is not just a story about ghost hunters, or haunted houses, it’s a gripping supernatural mystery with characters we care about. Written with energy and style, and packed with genuine chills.”

— Tyler Jones, author of Criterium and Almost Ruth
